Goals in the new year, December 30, 2025
Time again to look at the new year's goals. Some are obtainable, but some seem out of reach.
1. Sticking to a budget. I pay my bills on the 5th when I get paid. Everything left over is what I can use on gas, food, and discretionary spending, which admittedly after gassing the car isn't very much money.
2. Make more money. Ugh, more work. I love my job, but I am usually very tired at the end of my day. The thought of having to go to another job very much depresses me. Really, I only have one day a week that is comepletely free and clear with no plans ever, and that is Saturday. I just don't know if anywhere would hire some one for one day a week.
3. Save more money. Hard to do when you don't earn that much.
4. Lose weight. Like I said above, I'm tired after my job. I just want to go home and veg out. I have a free gym membership at my church. So, it's not a cost thing, it's a motivation thing.
5. Prepare for a potential move to Oregon from where I currently am in Oklahoma. My sister and brother in law are trying to purchase some land and they are hoping to put in a place for me. I've wanted to move back to Oregon since I moved here. All of my kids have given their approval.
6. Pray more often. I believe in Jesus. He is my Lord and Savior; the son of the living God. I need to pray before I write on this blog, before I pay my bills, before I purchase things. Like everybody, I've made some stupid purchases in the past.
